Everyday Algorithms

Algocount conference

July 7 and 8, c/o Leonardo Da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology

We report the international conference "Everyday Algorithms" sponsored by the University of Milan, in partnership with the DensityDesign laboratory of the Department of Design.

This conference aims to explore the role of algorithms in shaping public opinion from a multidisciplinary perspective. Set in the context of Algocount (algorithm accountability), which seeks to expand current understanding of how algorithms are perceived as key mediators in ordinary users' access to news and information content, the conference welcomes contributions that critically reflect on what we call "algorithmic public opinion" and its social and cultural implications.
