The second event of DDC Incontra, dedicated to book presentations, continues the series designed to open up moments of shared discussion and reflection. Through books, we aim to create opportunities for dialogue around themes that shape the way we look at, interpret, and understand the world.
This event is dedicated to the presentation of the book by Valentina Manchia, Dentro l’immagine. Il primo libro di semiotica visiva (Einaudi, 2025). Starting from the questions raised in the book, "Il linguaggio del visibile" begins with an apparently simple question: is understanding an image really an immediate and spontaneous process? In what ways does what we see produce meaning for the viewer?
The presentation thus becomes an opportunity to initiate an open debate, encourage the exchange of perspectives, and cultivate a space for collaboration and mutual listening.
