Inauguration of the new IN BIBLIO space.

On Saturday, November 8, the new InBiblio space will be inaugurated at IRCCS S. Maria Nascente in via Gozzadini 7.

Event Program

For adults
10:45 am: Concert by the group Allegro Moderato
Followed by: a talk by writer Emanuela Bussolati and the inauguration ceremony

For children
From 2:30 pm: Readings, activities, and lots of surprises!

The initiative is part of the project 'IN BIBLIO con CHIARA – INclusivity and LIBRARIES for a Culture that Invites, Connects, Regenerates and Activates', funded by the Polisocial Award 2024 of the Politecnico di Milano.

The project focuses on the San Siro neighborhood, a context characterized by strong multiculturalism but also by social and educational challenges, such as the lack of meeting places—especially for young people. Its goal is to create inclusive libraries, genuine proximity spaces where reading and storytelling become tools for personal growth, social interaction, and inclusion for children and youth with different vulnerabilities.

Through the collaboration between Off Campus San Siro of the Politecnico di Milano and the UONPIA unit of IRCCS S. Maria Nascente, the project aims to create sustainable and flexible environments, where reading becomes a multisensory and accessible experience for everyone. In Biblio seeks to break down linguistic, cultural, and social barriers, while promoting socialization, community engagement, and the appreciation of diversity.

The inauguration is open to everyone.
