Italy, Land of Patent. Successful Inventions and Innovations
Exhibition
November 23, 2024 - March 2, 2025, MIMIT - Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Palazzo Piacentini, via Veneto 33, Rome
The exhibition “Italy, Land of Patent”, organised by Mimit's General Directorate of Industrial Property in collaboration with Unioncamere, was inaugurated. Francesco Zurlo, Dean of the School of Design and Professor of the Department, also took part in the curatorial process.
The aim of the exhibition is to tell the story of the past and the present through the impact of more than 100 patents for industrial inventions on Italian society and in an international context, comparing different generations of creators: those who filed their inventions individually in the early days and those who today increasingly work in multidisciplinary teams in universities, research centres and start-ups.
Original materials from the archives of patent files or from the current patent management systems of the UIBM, photographic and multimedia documents, and products or prototypes, illustrate the diversity of inventive activity and the complexity of technological innovation processes in various productive sectors in the country.
Opening hours and admissions
The exhibition is open until March 2025 on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with last admission at 6.30 p.m.
Admission is free, upon presentation of an identity document.
