L'acqua non muore mai
Screening of the documentary film on Alzheimer's and meeting with the director Barbara Roganti
19 September, 2024, 5 pm @ room B2.0.1, Campus Bovisa, Via Candiani 72, Milan
On the occasion of World Alzheimer's Month, there will be a screening of the documentary L'acqua non muore mai. Cinque domande sull'Alzheimer e l'identità, by director Barbara Roganti.
Every time a person with Alzheimer's or dementia enters an outpatient clinic, they are asked, among many other questions, to write a sentence. Read one after the other, these sentences seem to tell a story, or perhaps they are many. The story of Giuliana and her family leads us into a narrative in which biography is fragmented, relationship becomes more important than memory, and we begin to intuit the many meanings that the word identity can take on. "We are like stepping stones, sparks".
L'acqua non muore mai is a collective narrative of stories and relationships, about Alzheimer's and dementia. Produced by Be Open, Open Group and Filandolarete, the documentary also presents the activities of Politecnico di Milano.
During the event, speakers include:
- Barbara Roganti, director of the documentary
- Sara Mariazzi, President of the EQUA cooperative (in partnership with POLIMI for projects on Ageing and Dementia)
- Davide Fassi, Delegate for Cultural Activities and Public Engagement
- Alessandro Deserti, Director of the Department of Design
moderated by Alessandro Biamonti, LABIRINT Research Atelier Coordinator.
