Material Disobedience
Final Course Exhibition
January 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm, Ground Floor, Building B2, Campus Bovisa Durando
Material Disobedience opens on January 13, 2026, showcasing student projects from the elective course “Towards Regenerative Material-Driven Futures: Biodesign and Nature-Inspired Solutions”, organised together with Prof. Valentina Rognoli and the MaDe/Trans research group.
The exhibition will take place at Building B2 (Ground Floor) of Campus Bovisa Durandoand will remain open for approximately one month.
The exhibition explores biodesign practices and nature-inspired strategies through the lens of Material Disobedience, a perspective in which materials resist standardisation, assert their own agency, and invite care as a central design practice.
On the opening day students will present short video screenings and will be available at their exhibition spots to share insights into their processes, experiments, and reflections on working with emerging, living, and rebellious materials.
