Feb 2nd, 2023, room B2.1.15, building B2, Politecnico di Milano, Bovisa Campus, via Durando 10, 20158 Milano

We are pleased to invite you to the “Open Presentations” event, which will showcase the projects carried out by the students of the Master's Degree in Communication Design course during the Final Synthesis Design Studio sect. C3 2022/2023 course, held at the Design school of Politecnico di Milano.
The “Open Presentations” event will be on February 2nd, 2023, in room B2.1.15, Building B2, Bovisa Campus, Politecnico di Milano, via Durando 10 and online at this link.

This year the topic is Climate Change, which the students tackled from six different perspectives, designing physical and digital artefacts that reflect various algorithms and mediations:

Greenwashing and greenscamming: mapping corporation communicative strategies for looking green
Machine climate visuals: algorithmic audiences of climate change visuals
Climate visuals in the wild: studying the circulation of climate imagery
From tree-planting to rewilding: geography and dictionary of forest restoration
#banprivatejets, and CO2 production: mapping the debate around private jets
Cancelling fast fashion: mapping the sustainable fashion movement online

The event is structured in two sessions. The first one starts at 10:00 (CET) in the morning with the students presenting and discussing their work with some guest experts in the field. The second part will be about the exhibition of the groups projects on the topic of climate change and the Infopoems: a collection of design artefacts with a “poetic” approach to data. It will start at 16:00 (CET) with a brief presentation from the faculty of the course results followed by the exhibition opening.

You are more than welcome to join the event either online or in presence. If you plan to attend the second session in presence, please register on the Eventbrite page.
