Triangular. Cooking for what matters
February 23, 2024, 5:00 pm, Museum Angewandte Kunst, Schaumainkai 17, Frankfurt
On Friday, the 23rd, the exhibition "Triangular - Cooking for what matters" will be inaugurated as part of the Dieter Rams Forum exhibition, hosted at the Museum Angewandte Kunst since November 11, 2023.
"Triangular - Cooking for what matters" is an exhibition of conceptual drafts and design projects created for Braun / De'Longhi through the close collaboration between students of the Smart Design Final Synthesis Lab, led by Venanzio Arquilla, Emmanuele Villani, Innocenzo Rifino, and Emanuele Magini, and students from the Delft University of Technology.
The theme required students not only to develop concepts and ideas for new types of appliances but also to explore the needs and desires of new generations related to food and its preparation. The exhibited concepts propose a wide range of possibilities covering the entire food life cycle: from self-production or local sourcing to new forms and methods of preparation and cooking, highlighting various culinary trends and approaches increasingly focused on sustainability and circularity, also addressing the importance of food preparation from a social and cultural perspective.
During the exhibition's inauguration, a roundtable discussion will be held on the theme of designer education, with the participation of faculty members from the Politecnico di Milano and TU-Delft involved in the project, Francesco Zurlo, Dean of the School of Design, and some representatives from Braun / De'Longhi.
