The Crown Princess of Denmark at the Gianfranco Ferré Research Centre
The visit on the occasion of the Milano Design Week
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess of Denmark visited the Gianfranco Ferré Research Centre at the Politecnico di Milano where she opened and chaired the roundtable 'New European Bauhaus Project - DESIRE, Designing the Irresistible Circular Society' on the occasion of the Milano Design Week.
The meeting was attended by the Danish Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov, the Vice-Rector for Institutional and Community Relations of the Politecnico di Milano, Carolina Pacchi, the Head of the Department of Design, Alessandro Deserti, the Executive Director of Creative Denmark, Majken Kalhave, the Deputy CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry, Thomas Bustrup, and architect and urban planner Stefano Boeri, professor of the Politecnico di Milano.
The Bauhaus school was established more than 100 years ago and radically changed the way of building in the West with increased quality of life for the general population. The new European Bauhaus also has an ambition of creating change by making construction more sustainable.
