Last week, ORBIS participated in the World Artificial Intelligence Cannes Festival (WAICF) at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes. The event was a major AI summit, gathering over 10,000 attendees and leading international speakers to explore how AI is shaping industries and governance.

ORBIS contributed to a dedicated session titled: "The metamorphosis of democracy - how artificial intelligence is disrupting digital governance and redefining our policy".

Funded by the research programme Horizon Europe and co-led by the Department of Design and the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies of Politecnico di Milano, the project involves 13 partners from 7 Countries and aims at augmenting participation, co-creation, trust and transparency in deliberative democracy at all scales.
