On the occasion of BookCity Milano, the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano and the Communication Design Degree Course of Politecnico present "A dialogue between accessibility, design, and the museum," with Dina Riccò, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and curator of the open-access volume Accessibilità museale. Le prospettive per il design della comunicazione (FrancoAngeli, 2023).
Franco Lisi, Director of the Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano, Salvatore Zingale, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and member of the Editorial Board of the Communication Design series (FrancoAngeli), the authors of the book, and Patricia Monica Ocampo, disability manager and international accessibility expert, will participate.
Also on display is a selection of accessible tactile projects by ControSenso, an exhibition project created for educational purposes with students from the Master's Degree Course in Communication Design, which began in 2022. The project is developed in collaboration with the scientific support of the Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano and Rai pubblica utilità (Direzione Accessibilità). It is designed to experiment with the possibilities of sensory information to support accessible communication of works of art.
