Waiting for ReverseLab
A space for contemporary art between the prison and the city
May 22, 2024, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. @ PAC di Milano, Via Palestro 14, Milan
Waiting for ReverseLab is a presentation talk about the Reverse Lab project, which is transforming a disused area of the first ray of the San Vittore prison into a permanent space for contemporary art. In parallel with the renovation work, a participatory art workshop led by artist Maurice Pefura is taking place, the outcome of which will be the first work to be displayed in an exhibition event that will open the doors of the prison to the city.
ReverseLab. A pilot space for contemporary art between the prison and the city is a project born within the activities of Off Campus San Vittore, funded by Call 57 of Fondazione di Comunità Milano with the participation of Forme Tentative, Philo - Pratiche filosofiche, and the support of Casa Circondariale and PAC.
The participation in the Milan Arch Week 2024 allows to show publicly what the project realizes inside the prison walls, with two moments: a meeting on May 22 from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Milan PAC, where artists, curators and designers will talk about the project; a visit on May 23 to the space object of ReverseLab's intervention, at the San Vittore Prison.
Event curated by Marianna Frangipane, Chiara Ligi, Gianfranco Orsenigo.
