This year the new generation of designers and researchers, who can and must play a leading role in the ongoing transformation, will be the protagonists and have a say.
Through 30 minutes sessions - where one host of the Polimi Design System will talk with an international guest - the 48 guests will develop their talks around the concept of "Designing in an age of uncertainty" to investigate the role, conditions and future expectations of young designers and researchers.
Since becoming a designer and a researcher takes passion, a lot of practice, hard work and dedication, we’d like to open the conversation to guests from all over the world asking them how they are facing this period of uncertainty:
- New designers’ condition
- Exploring research fields
- Understanding the design practice
The Polimi Design System hosts will activate each conversation around a short statement by each guest and addressed to the "surfers" of the near future, the new generation of designers and researchers. The result will be a logbook of short statements, a collection of suggestions for a new Design era annotated and discussed during a 24-hour journey around the world, sailing in the ‘sea of Design’.
