Guerrini Luca

Associate Professor

Luca Guerrini is an associate professor at Politecnico di Milano, where he has worked since 1993. A trained urban

designer, he has conducted applied research and projects in transportation and environmental design, interior and

spatial design, and cultural heritage design.

He teaches Interior Design and Arts and Languages of the Present at the School of Design. Since 1999, he has been a

faculty member of several Ph.D. programs and is a former Director (2015-2017) of the Ph.D. program in design. He is

in charge of the joint Politecnico di Milano and Tsinghua University, Beijing degree program in design. Since 2018, he

has been the Dean’s delegate for the School of Design’s admission test.

A curator of design and architecture exhibitions, he has acted as a consultant to the National Museum of Architecture

in Ferrara, Italy (2000-2006). He has participated in national and international architecture competitions.

Author of books, essays, and papers presented at national and international conferences. His current scientific

production delves into design theory, design teaching, and the relationship between design, arts, and new technologies.
