An event dedicated to editorial graphics and its evolution over time, featuring talks by industry experts:

The event is organized by the School of Design, in collaboration with the Degree Program in Communication Design and the research group Dcom + Dcom AI Lab – Communication Design Cultures and Systems.


SPEAKERS:

Susanna Vallebona
Visual designer at Esseblu Studio. Together with Giancarlo Iliprandi and Ino Chisesi, she worked on the emblem of the Province of Milan. Founder of Edizioni Esseblu (since 2001) and curator of SBLU_spazioalbello (since 2007). Since 2016, she has organized the Oggetto Libro International Biennial.

Cecilia Bianchini
Digital Graphic Designer. Art director at Linkiesta media company and various publishing houses. Co-founder of Paper Paper with Giovanni Cavalleri. Assisted Giancarlo Iliprandi in the production of the Triennale di Milano exhibition celebrating 80 years of his work.

Guido Scarabottolo
Architect, illustrator, and graphic designer, primarily in publishing. Collaborates with international magazines, illustrates books and covers, and curates exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Teaches Illustration at ISIA Urbino.

Camilla Pilotto
Graphic designer at Tiwi, Reggio Emilia. Develops graphics for docuseries, illustrations for animated videos, and editorial layouts. Clients include Sky, Netflix, Ferrari, and Deloitte.

Anna Steiner
Architect, author of various essays and books, and professor at Politecnico di Milano. Since 1974, she has curated exhibitions on Albe Steiner’s work and organized the materials of the Albe and Lica Steiner Archive, now donated to Politecnico di Milano. She worked on the reprint of “Pensaci, uomo” (Feltrinelli, 2012), the first photographic book on extermination camps, originally published in 1960 by Albe Steiner and Piero Caleffi.

Federica Bardelli
Visual designer at Sketchin and affiliated researcher at the Visual Methodologies Collective. Her studies explore visual languages, co-design, and new forms of interaction between art and research.
