Milano Digital Week 2026 is focused on the evolution and potential applications of Artificial Intelligence in urban contexts. As part of the event, EUMANS presents The Generative City. For an AI at the Service of the Community.
The initiative is organised in collaboration with the research group of the Department of Design and with the Human All group at the University of Milan.
How can artificial intelligence help improve democratic life in our cities?
The aim is to discuss a Civic AI model in which technology serves people and the public interest: open, transparent, subject to democratic oversight, and capable of strengthening participation.
During the event, researchers, institutional representatives, and experts in civic innovation will present concrete experiences of using digital tools in participatory processes. The panel will be followed by an open discussion, thematic roundtables, and a final networking session.
Part of the activity will also serve as a pilot for the Horizon Europe NEUROCLIMA project, through the use of Deliberate, the AI-supported tool developed within the project to support the collection and analysis of participants’ input.
