Politecnico di Milano presents CAPSULA: the first physical-digital ecosystem that allows people to monitor their health in a simple, autonomous and secure way.

What is CAPSULA?

An innovative service that integrates cutting-edge technologies for measuring cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic and physical parameters, offering a clear and immediate picture of one's state of health and lifestyle.

Smart Wearables: Track, Monitor, Thrive

23 March, 2 one-hour time slots available at 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm, Triennale, Sala Agorà, Viale Emilio Alemagna, 6, Milan

Wearable devices are revolutionizing health monitoring, giving individuals greater control over their well-being. With the ability to track, analyze, and transmit real-time health data, wearables play a crucial role in personalized healthcare, sports performance, and assistive technologies.

Prof. Giuseppe Andreoni from TeDH - Technology and Design for Healthcare Lab will present cutting-edge advancements in wearable health technology.

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discover how sensor-enabled clothing, smartwatches and smart rings can monitor vital signs such as heart rate, body temperature and physical activity levels in real time. Different applications of wearable devices will be analysed, from infants to the elderly, and the challenges of design and implementation will be explored. Participants will be able to try out wearable accessories themselves and learn how these tools can become fundamental allies in health management and the realisation of the 4 P's of medicine: predictive, preventive, personalised and participatory.
