Visioni D'Alta Quota

Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

A graphic poster titled "Visioni D'Alta Quota" features a striking composition of skiers captured in mid-air acrobatics, their dark silhouettes contrasting against a gradient background shifting from bright pink to teal. The event, created in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano Department of Design, is part of the "Giochi della Cultura" and "Cultural Olympiad" programs. The date Friday, January 30, starting from 6:30 PM, is indicated on the right. The graphic is enriched by numerous institutional and partner logos, including MEET Digital Culture Center, Fondazione Cariplo, Regione Lombardia, and the Municipality of Brescia, highlighting the multidisciplinary and cultural nature of the initiative.

On Friday, January 30, the selected videos created for Visioni d’Alta Quota, a project developed for the Milano Cortina Olympic Games, will be presented.

The initiative transforms a century of Lombard alpine sports into video art through the work of ten young digital creatives. The audiovisual narratives will premiere at MEET’s Theater and, starting February 6, will be displayed on LED screens across Milan, Brescia, and Bergamo for the entire duration of the Winter Olympic Games.

Seven days before Milan Cortina 2026, culture takes the field.
MEET Digital Culture Center and the Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano selected ten concepts and guided the creatives through a mentoring program aimed at translating historical archives of mountaineering, skiing, and hiking into contemporary visual narratives. Generative animations reconstruct climbs, patterns translate altitude data, and mountain memories become digital visions.

While the world watches sport, cities transform into open-air galleries.

The initiative is funded by Regione Lombardia as part of the Olimpiadi della Cultura call and is included in the Giochi della Cultura programme, promoted by Regione Lombardia in collaboration with Triennale Milano, as well as in the Cultural Olympiad of the Milano Cortina Foundation.

The project is developed with the participation of: Valeria Bucchetti, Umberto Tolino, and Francesca Casnati.
