Environmental design multisensory experience

Research Group Website
A speaker stands illustrating a complex infographic projected onto a large curved wall in a darkened room, pointing out details of a diagram featuring various corporate logos such as "WATTS" and "SOCLA." The audience, visible only as silhouettes in the foreground, attends the presentation in a professional setting resembling a strategic design workshop or a data analysis session. Three projectors mounted on the industrial metal-beamed ceiling ensure image continuity across the surfaces, creating a technological and immersive visual experience.

Activities

The EDME Interdepartmental Laboratory offers a physical space to develop and experiment experiences of digital, multimedia and multisensory worlds; a space where it is possible to create a relationship between virtual objects and physical, material and sensorized objects and to visualize and create not only visual, but also auditory, tactile, olfactory and synaesthetic experiences.
Inside the EDME Lab can be simulated complex multisensory activities and interactions in the fields of design, medical and biomedical, rehabilitation, learning and entertainment.
