Associate Professor
Architect and Ph.D. in Interior and Exhibition Design, she is an Associate Professor at the Design School of Politecnico di Milano and a member of the research groups Lab.I.R.Int – Laboratory of Innovation and Research on Interiors – and RESIDE – REgenerative Spatial Innovation Design, both affiliated with the Design Department of the same university.
Her research focuses on the transformation of contemporary human environments through Adaptive Reuse processes, with particular attention to the resulting strategies for urban reactivation and territorial renewal and reconciling the original functions of spaces, emerging needs, and future scenarios. Her interests include the socio-cultural phenomenology of contemporary places and their inhabitants, analyzing their behaviors and vulnerabilities, with a specific focus on the evolving discourse surrounding office design and educational and childhood spaces.
She teaches in the bachelor’s and master’s Degree programs in Interior and Spatial Design, focusing on spatial qualities at different scales. She has extensive experience teaching in Specialized International Master’s programs, including Interior Design; Designing Culture: Art, Design, and Cultural Enterprises; Design for Public Spaces; Design Management for Innovative Spaces, introducing international students to the history and culture of Italian design.
She has published scientific contributions and participated in research projects, conferences, and national and international workshops on the topics of Adaptive Reuse and the spatial qualities of interiors.
