Full Professor of Interaction Design at the Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano. Her research explores the many ways in which the digital and the material worlds collide, fuse, converge or clash and how people perceive and interact with new digital-material hybrids that sense the environment, display autonomous behaviours, react to people, objects and the environment.

She is internationally known for her influential work on new technologies for archives, museums and cultural heritage. She has published over 100 international peer-reviewed contributions and received twelve awards both from academia and industry.
